One of our latest obsessions are acai bowls! These bowls are DELICIOUS and a great go-to after a workout or before you start your day! Before trying out this recipe, we thought it might be a little difficult to make, but once we gave it a try there was no turning back! An acai bowl is like an adult sundae, minus all the calories, sugar and guilt (YIPPEE). Below check out the recipe we like to use from PopSugar. You can decide to add whatever toppings you want to your bowl. Have fun with your bowl and change it up each week, so it’s always a new treat! We tweeked the recipe a bit to make it Paleo friendly, so you can always check out the original one here. 🙂

2 cups (10 1/2 ounces) frozen strawberries
2 frozen sliced bananas
4 tablespoons acai powder (we got ours at Wild By Nature)
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk (or milk of choice), plus more as needed
2 tablespoons nut or seed butter (we used almond)
1/2 to 1 tablespoon agave, to taste
Fresh fruit, sliced (we used bananas, strawberries, and blueberries)
Clear, runny agave
Granola (optional, you can also crush up a Larabar for the top)
Unsweetened coconut flakes
Dried goji berries (optional)
Chia or hemp seeds (optional)
- Add the frozen fruits, acai powder, coconut milk, almond butter, and agave to a blender (a magic bullet works well too!). Blend until creamy and smooth, adding extra coconut milk as needed to get the blender running. Aim for a frozen-yogurt consistency (it should be thicker than a smoothie).
- Spoon the acai mixture into bowls and top with sliced fruit, a drizzle of agave, crushed Larabar and the optional toppings (if using).
